On her skin, in her heart

On her skin, in her heart is a story written for a beloved friend of mine, Libbybelle. It was an email from her that gave me the story, and now I give it back to her.

It's Bella/Alice femmeslash. I like femmeslash. I hope you like it, too.

...And a Silver Sixpence in Her Shoe

...And a Sixpence in Her Shoe is a story I wrote for the For The Love of Women contest. It's something as unusual as a femmeslash story with no sex in it. Yes. You read it correctly. Now, why on earth would someone write that? And for a contest, where we all know the rule is "the smuttier, the better"? Well, it didn't feel right. The story was about the love, not the sex. I didn't want the readers to shift focus from that. It won a special award, created just for this - Best Sans Citrus - which wasn't hard, since it was the only one in the contest with no sex... But still: they made up a prize for it, so I'm happy!

The pairing isn't that usual, either. It's Claire/Nessie. Because why should imprinting mean they're destined for a sexual relationship with the ones who imprinted on them? It's not like the girls could choose in the books. So, in this story, they get to choose. And they choose each other.

I don't know who made the banner. But I love it. It's amazing. If someone finds out, please let me know so I can properly thank them and then stalk them on twitter declaring my undying love.

Vanishing

Vanishing is my most important story, and, apart from TSCwBS, the one that's closest to my heart. I wrote it for the Beyond the Pale contest, and it won a Judge's Pick - for frighteningly raw and real. It's an Alice story about anorexia. I never dealt with it myself, but two of my close friends battled it since their teens, and survived. One of them is still fighting, and has been in and out of hospitals for years.
Warning: deals with self starvation, death and abuse/rape.
